Have Money to Burn? Pay $1.63 Million for a Purse

Ginza Tanaka, a Japanese jewellery maker, is famous for making ordinary items out of precious metals and gems.

On June 14, 2007, Ginza Tanaka showcased this diamond platinum bag at a fashion show in Tokyo.

The handbag is shaped out of pure platinum and studded with 2,182 diamonds totaling 208 carats. The handbag has a brilliant price tag of $1.63 million.

Yes, the purse is beautiful. Yes, I would love to have the purse but don't have the $1.63 million to shell out for it. Also, as I've said in the past, if I had the $1.63 million to buy this I think I would help out a few million people first instead with some wasteful stuff like food or medicine.

Check out a few other items that Ginza Tanaka has made extraordinary:

Picture Perfect

Hey, I think this purse matches the $98 Million Skull (posted by Alexis on June 8, 2007)!  Skeletons don't need to wear shoes, so it would make more sense for them to match their purses to their heads.
