Ok another innovative and whacky gadget that I came across. The Banclock. After Clocky, this one seemed tame, but weird, so I decided to share it with you.

The Banclock is a clock. It displays time and rings an alarm to wake you up. But then, what is so cool or innovative about it?

Well for one, the display or face of the Banclock is like a national debt ticker. And to make matters worse, the alarm can only be stopped if you feed the clock some coins.

So now you know where the name came from - Bank + Clock = Banclock!

The only sad thing about this alarm clock is that there is no option for snooze. But look at the bright side; you will wake up on time, every morning. And will end up saving a lot of money at the end of the week.

So empty the bank...err..the clock and go get yourself a treat.

You deserve it for waking up on time.

The Banclock is available in Japan for ¥5,985 or $51. Trust the Japanese to come up with something so innovative. Add it to the shopping list for yourself or your next friend going to the far-east.
