Carry Your Drink...in Your Shoes

Reef , the stellar sandal company now introduces the Reef Dram Sandal ($45). The coolest thing about this sandal is that the Dram includes a polyurethane encapsulated flask in the heel. So now you can smuggle liquor anywhere you might want to!

In addition, since they are from Reef, they're extremely comfortable. Each sandal can carry three ounces of beverage inside the heel, so a grand total of four generous shots to boost you up as and when the need arises.

The company really takes ‘thinking out of the box' to a new level with this concept. I mean who would have thought of providing for liquor storage in footwear? Reef has.

According to the site, the Dram sandals incorporate the following features:

  • Comfortable, water friendly, synthetic nubuck upper
  • Contoured compression molded Eva footbed with anatomical arch support
  • Polyurethane encapsulated canteen in heel with screw cap
  • Unique shaker icon molded Reef rubber outsole

The only glitches I could see were mental--getting used to the idea of carrying a drink in my sandal, and the fear that should the sandal leak, I would be walking around with sticky, smelly feet.

Waiting to get my hands, or rather feet on this one to see for myself what it's all about.
