The tooth artists at Heward Dental Lab can create custom handpainted artwork on your teeth. They have been in business for over 30 years and state "We have found that there is a lack of true artists in our industry. Our technicians were trained first to be artists and then taught how to construct teeth."
They say that you will have your very own custom crown in 6 easy steps which include obtaining a prescription, picking out your artwork, deciding where you want it, and visiting your dentist to have it put in place.

Prices range anywhere from $75 to $500.
I don't know about you, but if I saw this on someone I would probably be trying to convince them that they had a piece of food on their tooth.
They specify they want simple pictures, so I guess the Mona Lisa might be too much to ask for.

I wonder if you could get multiple crowns done and have a phrase placed in your mouth. It would definitely be a good advertisement at a dentist's office. When I was little and would visit the dentist, I always read the same saying over and over again which was in a frame on the wall: "You don't have to brush all your teeth, just the ones you want to keep." Now there's a phrase that would look great plastered all over your teeth.

Rooster TattooI'd love to hear from people out there that have had this done. How do you like it? Do you get any strange responses from it? My guess is that it can't be any worse than having a tattoo advertisement on your forehead.

All dental labs do this...
Submitted on April 5th, 2008 by AnonymousAny dental lab or dentist knows about this and can arrange to have one made. The problem is customer satisfaction with the art work so they are shy about it. I have worked in dental labs and in a dental office, I have seen a music note and a rose- if they are done on molars they are totally hidden and I guess done to make a person feel unique.
