Ahhh, the lazy days of summer. I am so excited that summer is almost here. My boys are asking me everyday when we can go to the pool. I love summer because you’re not on a strict schedule. Of course, I wonder how I’m going to get my postings done in the summer but it’ll work out. Everything always does. Is anyone else amazed by the toys that are out there? Sometimes I look at the toys and ask myself, is this really for kids?

When I had my first child, I saw the mini motorized cars for kids. I immediately wanted one. To tell the truth, sometimes my children end up with certain toys because I want it so badly (yes, my sons have a mini motorized fire truck). Is this wrong? I don’t think so. What’s the point of having kids if you can’t relive your childhood a little bit (just more responsibly).

When I was growing up, I had the traditional night light. It had one of those tiny bulbs with a plastic cover that only covered the front half of the bulb. I guess that was so a child couldn't touch the bulb directly. Too bad any one year child could pop the cover off. When I had my first baby (who is now 5 years old), we bought a video baby monitor. We thought it was the coolest thing that we could watch our child while he was sleeping without him seeing us. The problem was that it was too big and a bit too bright. The screen had to be about four inches wide. So when we went to bed and left the monitor on (yes, like a typical first time mom), it pretty much lit up our entire room. Also, it was a huge eyesore on my dresser. We went to a children's museum a couple of months ago and it had a roman arch puzzle. If you assembled all the wood pieces together correctly, it could support itself with out any help (like from nails). My kids spent quite a while on it. It was really amazing when it was completed. Ice Cream Flavored Toothpaste

Banilla BlingI took my boys to the dentist on Monday. Before the dentist cleaned each child's teeth, he asked what flavor he liked. My oldest got his teeth cleaned with bubble gum flavored toothpaste. My youngest got his teeth cleaned with marshmallow flavored toothpaste. This experience left me wondering why there weren't more flavored toothpastes being sold. We've seen bubble gum flavored toothpaste at the stores before but never marshmallow.

So, I'm walking out of the dentist office and I stop at the desk to make sure that my insurance information is good when I see tubes of weird looking toothpaste on the check out desk. It looks weird because I've never seen this toothpaste in the stores before. I look closer and pick up the first one; it says it vanilla ice cream flavored.

TrioBike has come up with a three in one carrier bike. Its a regular bicycle, a carrier bike and a stroller.

Imagine taking your two kids for a bike ride in bike that has a stroller that attaches to it. After your done with your bike ride (because its pretty exhausting biking up a hill with two kids), you detach the stroller from the bike and then just push the stroller. Or maybe, you'll drop the kids off with your husband and finish that bike ride by your self, so you detach the stroller and continue biking with just the bike. Pretty cool huh? ISwiss Strolli 1 was looking on the internet when I came this stroller accessory. Essentially, it is an attachable tricycle. You can attach the tricycle to the stoller (stroller is not included). I was never a neat person before I had kids but for some reason now I am obsessed with it. Not that you could tell if you walk in my house. But that's not my fault. I blame my two boys. Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning. That's what I do. I can have a room completely clean and they could destroy it in less than 10 minutes. I guess you could say they have a gift.

Seat ChillerWhen its hot and humid and hitting record highs, what's the first thing you think of? Finding something to cool you down. A nice body sized ice pack sounds good.

Well dealing with the heat is much worse when you have young kids with you. On a hot summer day, you know you're going to hear whinning. Especially when you put the kids into a car. Its almost always 10 degrees hotter in the car. It would be great for their car seats to be nice and cool when they get into it. My prayers have been answered by a company called Kooler Kidz.

If candy wasn’t so bad for my kids, I would let them consume it 24/7. Nothing seems to quiet a whinning child as quickly and effectively as candy. Now imagine your child sick at home and whinning and having the amazing ability to say, “Hey, I’ve got a great idea, why don’t you have a lollipop?” Your child will look at you with questioning eyes. Is it a trick?

Keyboards for Little People

MiniKeyBoardThese days, I am constantly on the computer and my wrist are killing me. In this day and age, I'm not the only one on the computer. So are both my boys. Both my kids started using the computer when they turned three years old.

If adults have so many problems because they use the computer so much, I can't imagine how difficult and painful it must be for our kids (and anyone who is smaller than the average adult) to use an adult sized computer keyboard. Thank goodness other people are on the same wavelength and have created interesting solutions... many inventors are ahead of me on this one.
